Factors affecting the development of the medium borosilicate pharmaceutical infusion bottle production industry

In fact, there are many factors that affect the development of the Chinese borosilicate pharmaceutical infusion bottle production industry, but the competition between different packaging materials and poor recycling effects should attract our attention.

I. Competition between different packaging materials

On the market, there are many types of glass packaging materials in circulation, but the number of glass packaging containers is relatively large, and they are easily damaged during transportation, which increases transportation costs to a certain extent. In recent years, the development speed of paper products, metal and plastic products has continued to increase. Except for some products with high corrosion resistance, the range of products suitable for glass containers has shrunk sharply. For example, the medium borosilicate medicinal infusion bottles used in hospitals have long replaced glass bottles with plastic bags, and the packaging of beverage bottles has also been changed to plastic and metal products. Under the current circumstances, only certain cosmetics, liquor, red wine, etc. continue to use glass packaging, while other relatively low-end products are switching from packaging materials to plastic products due to their low added value. Therefore, only by promoting the development and improvement of glass packaging materials can we try to replace other packaging materials or effectively threaten them.

II. Poor recycling and utilization

The use of glass products to package products can better respond to national energy conservation and emission reduction requirements and is also in line with the trend of sustainable development. Under the current circumstances, the annual waste of glass packaging products in my country is growing rapidly. However, developed countries started recycling and reusing glass much earlier than us, have formed a relatively complete recycling and reusing system, and have achieved remarkable results in this regard. However, in the recycling of glass products, the average recycling rate in developed countries is about 50%, Germany has reached 80%, and my country has 20% in this regard. Compared with developed countries, the gap is still very large.
